STUDIO UPDATE -- January 1, 2022
As always the safety and well being of our community is top priority. Now that we have learned how to operate a hybrid, omni-channel fitness service during a pandemic for almost 2 years and a free vaccine is available for those who want it, GRIT Fitness management makes the following commitment to our members and community, effective January 1, 2022:
We will:
Per CDC guidelines (effective December 27, 2021), people with COVID-19 should isolate for 5 days and if they are asymptomatic or their symptoms are resolving (without fever for 24 hours), follow that by 5 days of wearing a mask when around others to minimize the risk of infecting people they encounter.
If you develop any symptoms of COVID-19, get tested immediately and isolate until you receive your test results. If you test positive, follow CDC isolation recommendations. Do not return to the studios until you receive a negative test result and you remain without symptoms.

- Recommend face masks when entering, exiting and moving around the studio. Masks are optional once you get to your assigned spot in class.
- Continue heightened cleaning of all studio facilities utilizing a 3rd party company
- Continue assigned spots in classes
- Encourage "gel in / gel" out policy utilizing hand sanitizer available at all studio locations
- Require staff members who have tested positive to quarantine according to CDC guidelines
- Continue livestream and virtual on-demand classes for those who wish to workout at home

According to a mandate set forth by Dallas County Judge Clay Jenkins, masks will be required for all businesses, including GRIT Fitness.

- Face masks are required when entering, exiting and moving around the studio.
- Masks are optional once you get to your assigned spot in class.

Effective June 1, 2021, we will be entering Phase 4 of our reopening plan. Per CDC guidelines, fully vaccinated individuals are not required to wear a face mask and will be optional for fully vaccinated GRITFAM members, instructors and staff. You are welcome to continue wearing a face mask now and in the future.
All classes will now operate at 100% capacity with assigned spots in the group fitness studios and assigned bikes in the cycling studios. GRITFAM members will put away equipment used during class, after wiping down all items with disinfectant wipes provided. As always, our studios will continue to undergo regular deep cleaning and disinfection.
All studio amenities will be available for use (e.g. showers, changing rooms, co-working spaces, water filling stations). Sweat towels are for sale at the front desk for $4. Showers are open; please bring your own towel (no towel service).

The majority of our classes will begin operating at 75% capacity, with select spin classes operating at 100% capacity (as indicated on class schedule). Remaining spin classes will continue to operate at 50% capacity. Heightened cleaning, assigned spots in class, and other safety protocols will still be enforced.

- If you would like to help support the GRITFAM and keep your membership as-is, we would greatly appreciate your generosity. As a small business, we rely on memberships to keep our studio doors open and unfortunately the bills don't stop during this period. We greatly appreciate any help you can give. You will get access to all live workouts and our video library plus you'll get extra virtual love and lots of good vibes from the GRITFAM community.
CONTRACT AUTOPAY MEMBERS:
- Option 1 - You may freeze your membership now and take advantage of virtual classes for $49/mo. Your regular monthly membership contract will be reinstated (at your current rate) when the studio re-opens. Contract autopay members must finish out their current membership term but can elect to freeze their membership contract term until the studio re-opens.
- Option 2 - Continue your regular monthly membership payment until your contract has expired. You will receive a complimentary membership at the end of your current term for the duration the studio was closed. For example, if the studio is closed for 1 month, you will receive a free 1 month membership at the end of your current contract term.
MONTH-TO-MONTH AUTOPAY MEMBERS:
- Option 1 - You may freeze your membership now and take advantage of virtual classes for $49/mo. Your regular monthly membership payment will be reinstated (at your current rate) when the studio re-opens.
- Option 2 - Cancel your membership now (30-day written notice via email). Please note, you will not be able to resume your current rate when GRIT re-opens.

We offer everything from HIIT, Dance Club Cardio, Yoga, Turbo Kick, strength training, meditation, and more. It is a full mind-body experience. You can see our complete class catalog here.
Where can I see the online live schedule?
The full class schedule can be viewed here. If you are using the GRIT mobile app, please select the Addison location to view the online schedule. We also post the weekly schedule of virtual classes on in the Facebook group and on Instagram.
Do you need any special equipment?
No! All workouts can be done from your home with no equipment (equipment is optional for some workouts but can be done without).
I’m new to working out, do your instructors give modifications or what classes should I start with?
Our workouts are designed for every type of athlete. Instructors always give modifications for high-intensity moves. If you are just starting to work out, Dance Club Cardio, Pure Strength and Body Sculpt are great options to check out.
