OUR FOUNDERBRIT RETTIG WOLDBrittani (Brit) Rettig Wold founded GRIT Fitness in 2015, building an empowering fitness community around her belief that mental grit—“passion and perseverance for long-term goals”—is the key to both fitness success and living our fullest lives. At the time, she was a 30-year-old single woman with a big dream and a $30K nest egg. With relentless determination and heart, Brit grew GRIT Fitness from one small studio into multiple locations, a team of over 50, and Dallas’ #1 women’s fitness community.
Brit believes that pushing through physical challenges prepares us to overcome life’s bigger obstacles: “We can’t always control life’s circumstances, but we can always control how we respond. We are stronger than our circumstances.” Today, Brit is most proud of her role as a wife and mom to three beautiful kids. She’s passionate about modeling healthy habits and balance, not just for her family but for the broader community of women and families she serves. Her mission is to inspire others to prioritize wellness, confidence, and community connection in every season of life. Brit earned her undergraduate degree from Cornell University, where she captained the women’s varsity basketball team, and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is also a graduate of the Dallas Regional Chamber’s Leadership Dallas Class of 2020. |
